Love Still by Dawit & Pure Light Seed (Pure Light Seed Productions 2003) Dawit & Pure Light Seed is a D.C.-based band of which I Grade bassist, Kenyatta Itola, is a part. Pure Light Seed makes music with a heavy soul influence mixed with a little reggae and a little rock. Their message is a positive one rooted in love and truth. Yeah, they sing love songs. They like and are influenced by many different artists and styles of music but their sound is one of heavy driving bass and drums seasoned with atmospheric keys, weaving melodies, and edgy guitar. The core group is made up of four members – Kenyatta Itola -bass, Matt Miller-drums and background vocals, Jason Alburger-lead guitar, and Dawit-lead vocals and rhythm guitar.
