Ras Mek Peace by Midnite (WildChild 1999) Ras Mek Peace is Midnite's second release that is truly groundbreaking. In recording the album, Midnite went where most bands and artist would fear to go -- they recorded the entire album live onto 2 tracks - with no overdubs and no effects whatsoever. All ten of the songs on Ras Mek Peace are classics - with massive tunes like "Banking in the Pig," "Rastaman Stand" and "Love Right (Live Right)". A bit pricier than the other Midnite albums, Ras Mek Peace is well worth for the truly original sound, not to mention the extensive liner notes. |
